ELA: We survived the Practice Writing Prompt! All classes have been working super hard on improving their writing skills and I am so proud of YOU! We will continue to practice pieces and parts of the writing process so that we will ready for the big test on March 6th.✎📔

We will also have a reading skills quiz on Friday.
Social Studies and RRJ are both due on Friday!
We will also be discussing the Harlem Renaissance and reading a short story by Langston Hughes.

Math:
There will be a test this week, assessing content from Module 5 Lessons 1 -6.
Lesson 7: Solve word problems involving the volume of rectangular prisms with whole number edge lengths.
Lesson 8 & 9: Apply concepts and formulas of volume to design a sculpture using rectangular prisms within given parameters.
Lesson 10: Find the area of rectangles with whole-by-mixed and whole-by-fractional number side lengths by tiling, record by
drawing, and relate to fraction multiplication.
Lesson 11: Find the area of rectangles with mixed-by-mixed and fraction-by-fraction side lengths by tiling, record by drawing, and
relate to fraction multiplication.
Science: We will begin discussing animal & plant classification. Students will compare the human body structure to the structure of a plant. Students will have homework on Monday and Tuesday.
