Last Week of School!

Schedule of Events: 

Monday: No School-Memorial Day!

Tuesday: Health Video in the afternoon-- Students may bring board games today!

Wednesday: Class Party!

Wednesday will also be Water Day with Coach Carney!  Students need to bring a change of clothes and a towel.  Be sure to apply sunscreen before they come to school.  Don't forget a second mask!

Thursday: Last Day of School! (dismissal at noon)

Clap Out: Begins at 10:30.  Parents may watch the clap out from behind the cones in the car rider area.  They will not be allowed in the building for the clap out.  Parents may check out their child at the conclusion of the clap out.

**There is no extended day on Thursday!**

We hope everyone has a great summer!!  Report cards will be accessible in Focus on or after June 14th.  They will not go home on Thursday.

Week of May 24th-28th

 Our Promotional Ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 9AM in the cafeteria!  We look forward to celebrating your child!

Friday is your last day to turn in money for the end of year party!  Cost is $6.

TALENT SHOW ON FRIDAY!  Students may choose to participate. 

ELA:  We will be finishing Esperanza this week along with our many projects! We have survival guides as well as Narratives to write this week! 💓💓💓

Health: We will continue our health discussions and menu creations.

Week of May 17th-21st

RESOURCE END OF THE YEAR TESTING MON. TUES. AND WED. PLEASE BE ON TIME AND READY TO GO!

Wednesday is the last day to turn in RSVP's for the Promotional Ceremony!  RSVP's are required this year!!  It is also the last day to submit pictures to Mrs. Puckett!  We need a baby photo, kindergarten picture, and a current photo.  

All end of year party money is due by the 28th!  Cost is $6.

Academics:

ELA: We will continue our Esperanza Rising Book Study with fun food treats each chapter. 

We have reflection essays, survival guides as well as an Esperanza project to complete.

Health:  We will finish the year out by focusing on health education!  This week we will discuss nutrition.

May 10th-14th

 We will finish up FSA testing this week with Science testing on Wednesday and Thursday.

Students will be rewarded with popcorn, soda, and a movie on Friday to celebrate the end of state testing. 

Don't forget to return the promotional ceremony RSVP, and end of year party money!  Cost is $6.

If you have not submitted pictures of your child to Mrs. Puckett yet--please do so ASAP!

Academics:

ELA: We will be finishing up our Travel Brochures this week and sign up for the optional presentations next week. We have several projects to complete with Esperanza Rising, our current book study.  We will also begin some Narrative writing this week.

     

Math:  We are continuing to get the kids ready for middle school by reviewing difficult concepts and introducing algebra topics!  These kids will be ready for middle school!

Science:  We will have a mini "science camp" this week to continue to review for testing and then will begin our health curriculum.  We will learn about the various food groups and nutrition.  Students will be given a project to create a restaurant menu.
