Week of September 10th-14th

Science Fair: Projects will be due on November 13th.  An acknowledgement form will be sent home on Monday for you to sign and review.  This is a requirement for all 5th grade students.

Early release on Wednesday.

We hope to see everyone on Thursday at Open House.  It will begin at 6:00 pm.

Progress reports will go home on Monday, September 17th.

Fall Pictures will take place on September 19th.

Do you love to read? What is your favorite book or author? Well, here's your chance to order your favoites! We will be participating in SCHOLASTIC this year!  I will send home the flyers and you will have two weeks to order the books.  I encourage you to order online.

The work jobs will remain the same this week with List #1 of our Morph's Test this Friday.  Social Studies will be due Friday as will RRJs with chats.  We will also take a Reading Comprehension Test based on the skills we have been working on so far.  It will consist of passages to read and writing responses to questions.

Pirate Writing!  We have had several students earn Pirate's Gold by reciting our writing poem!  The first two to do so in each homeroom were these lovely ladies, Kate and Eloisa!

Math:  We will complete Module 1 this week, students will take a test on the computer on Friday covering all of module 1.  A review sheet will go home this week for you to review with your child.  We will also begin Module 2.  Videos below for your review.

Science:  We will continue our discussion on states of matter as well as mixtures and solutions.
