Week of April 2nd-April 6th

Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday.  Please sign and return.

Our last Run Club practice will take place on Thursday!

Students will take an assessment in Science this week that will show Ms. Tiberio where students are and what we still need to review and cover before the state test on May 1st and 2nd.  This assessment will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday during their normal class time.  

Academics:

ELA: We will have our FSA vocabulary test on Friday.  RRJs and Social Studies tickets are due on Friday as well.  We will be focusing on finding main idea this week and summarizing text.  We will have an assignment to go along with another fun short story this week"Three Wishes"!  You will also need your' All Summer in a Day" short story from last week.  We will have a short test on Friday to assess main idea and summarizing.  Finally, we will be working on short responses this week and will focus on our thought questions in Achieve to practice.

Math: The students are really enjoying the Unit 6, focusing on the coordinate plane.  This week we will plot patterns and analyze pattern rules.
Lesson 8: Generate a number pattern from a given rule and plot points.
Lesson 9:  Generate 2 number patterns from given rules, plot and analyze the patterns.
Lesson 10: Compare lines and patterns generated by addition and multiplication rules.
Lesson 11: Analyze number patterns created from mixed operations.

Science:  Students will have nightly homework for the next few weeks. This will be due on Friday of each week. Once students complete the science assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday we will evaluate where we need to go to review and remediate.  We will also be finishing up our lessons on food chains and food webs.  Students will have a quiz on food chains and food webs on Friday.
